by Capital Contracting Services - Columbus, Ohio
Capital Contracting Services, LLC completed a multi-area renovation project at Washington Place in downtown Columbus, Ohio, focused on modernizing the property’s first-floor common areas, pool bathroom facilities, vending space, and package closet areas. The project combined demolition, framing, drywall finishing, painting, flooring, lighting upgrades, cabinetry installation, and finish carpentry to create a cleaner, more functional, and updated resident experience.
The pool bathroom and vending area renovation included complete demolition of outdated fixtures and finishes, installation of new ADA-compliant restroom fixtures, upgraded vanity and mirror systems, new cabinetry and granite countertops, modern LED lighting, drywall and framing modifications, and new luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout. The vending area was reconfigured with a newly framed island, updated plumbing fixtures, and refreshed ceiling systems to improve both functionality and appearance. Additionally, the package closet was redesigned with new shelving systems, lighting improvements, updated door layouts, and matching finishes to coordinate with the surrounding renovated spaces.
As part of the first-floor hallway renovation, Capital Contracting Services, LLC performed extensive drywall repairs and skim coating, repainted all hallway walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and elevator doors, upgraded lighting systems with new LED flat panel fixtures, and installed new glue-down LVT flooring with vinyl cove base throughout the corridors. The completed renovations helped modernize the common areas while improving durability, lighting quality, and the overall appearance of the property for residents and visitors.
