Capital Contracting Services, LLC completed a multi-phase package room and lobby renovation project at the Flats on Vine community in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The project focused on transforming and modernizing two package room areas while improving functionality, security, and overall resident experience throughout the lobby spaces.
The scope of work included selective demolition, metal framing, drywall installation and finishing, flooring modifications, trim carpentry, painting, and coordination with multiple specialty trades. In Package Room 191, the team removed existing floor tile and stair structures, framed new walls and storage areas, installed drywall with Level 4 finishes, added shelving systems, completed flooring transitions, and installed a new metal handrail to match the existing building finishes. Interior surfaces were primed and painted to blend seamlessly with the existing lobby aesthetic.
For Package Room 221, Capital Contracting Services completed extensive reconfiguration work to support a new package and mailbox layout. The project included sound-reduction wall assemblies, mailbox relocation coordination, mechanical closet modifications, new framing and drywall construction, trim installation, painting, and the creation of a new package storage area. The work required careful coordination with sprinkler, electrical, fob-access, and USPS operations to minimize disruption while maintaining project efficiency and cleanliness throughout construction.
