Exterior Repaint & EIFS Repair in Ashland, OH
In 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Columbus, OH completed a two-day exterior restoration project for NAPA Auto Parts in Ashland, Ohio, delivering a full repaint and targeted EIFS stucco repairs for this longstanding commercial property.
The 15,300 sq. ft. building required both cosmetic and functional improvements, including repairs to damaged EIFS surfaces and a refreshed color scheme to enhance the store’s visibility and durability. The project also included repainting the back shed, metal doors, frames, conduits, and other key exterior elements, ensuring the entire property received a uniform, modern update.
PROJECT SCOPE:
This commercial repaint involved a complete surface restoration of the main building and the rear shed. Our crew power washed, scraped, and caulked all necessary areas to remove loose paint and prepare the substrates. EIFS repairs were made to cracked, chipped, and damaged stucco sections, followed by priming of all wood surfaces, metal doors, and frames to ensure proper adhesion.
We repainted the EIFS stucco, gas and electrical conduits, metal doors and frames, wood siding, block, and shed doors/frames, applying Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint (Flat Finish) in two coordinated colors: Gray Screen (SW 7071) and a custom NAPA Blue. This combination delivered the brand-appropriate appearance the property needed while adding long-lasting protection against future weathering.
SPECIAL TECHNIQUES:
While the project was straightforward, the EIFS repair work required careful attention to detail to ensure a smooth, seamless finish before repainting. Damaged stucco sections were rebuilt and blended to match the original surface, preventing long-term moisture intrusion and preserving structural integrity.
Despite multiple substrates requiring different prep and priming steps, the crew executed the work efficiently, completing repairs on the first day and painting on the second.
